Lisa Davis, the recently-appointed head of Siemens' energy business, said she expected "a declining market and declining margins" for large gas turbines for power generation, as a result of overcapacity in the industry, the Times said.

She added that the company was also facing challenges in its wind turbine business, where the market was growing but Siemens had to work with suppliers to ensure that its customers' projects could be delivered on time and on budget. The two problems would "put pressure on our results over the next two to three years," she said.
