February 11th 9: Gear, oh how you know I LOVE gear! I love looking at, trying on, and especially shopping for new gear. When it came to camera straps, though, I usually had a more utilitarian goal in mind. After a season or two of this mindset, my body was definitely ready for a change.

My longest use was the Spider Holster coupled with a few Think Tank Lens Changer bags. I loved this system, and it was honestly very functional.

Durable construction aside, this thing just WORKS. Aside from issues you deal with wearing ANY extra layer sweat, a bit of irritating rubbing, etc. Buffalo Tan Money Maker Sliders by Megan Allen — www. The Money Maker itself is a fairly simple system. It is designed to carry either one or two camera bodies as well as including d-rings to include an optional third camera or attaching one of the various new Sightseer accessories to make it truly multi-functional for holding lenses, carrying cards, wallet contents or a cell phone, etc.

As an added bonus, each accessory has multiple attachment points to use in whatever way you choose for the day you are using them. Photo courtesy of Jenny Nguyen — www. The stitching on the closures are very smooth and heavily connected, so there is no problem with them coming apart.

The clasp is a sailing rig that has been weight tested to over lbs and as the site says in their F. Well, there are easily some places you can make sacrifices in cost with gear and be completely ok. It is nearly impossible for me to separate quality and cost from value when it comes to products like this. When I compared to what I had invested in the Spider Holster and bags for my lenses, however, I actually SAVED money being able to carry my camera bodies and lenses on my shoulders vs.

Chad DiBlasio — www. The stress it takes off my lower back and hips coupled with the incredible functionality and fashion of this system makes it an easy win in my book. This strap is FOR YOU! Not physically holding the camera all day on shoots and weddings, being able to slide it up to shoot and then literally let it hang by my side all the while being suspended across the broad, strongest part of my back has made my body elated, my fashion sense satisfied, and my business happy knowing this is a solid value that will continue to serve me and my clients for years to come.

I wear a lot of tank top dresses for weddings and am worried about the leather on the MM. Also which one do you think would last longer? Can be found here: I have been interested in this system for some time as well. My question is would this system work or just be annoying if I am on and off of the floor a lot for newborn photoshoots?

I got the money maker harness last year and have never used a more versatile and comfortable system.

Very balanced and looks amazing. Even when lugging a and sigma primes around. I love that I can shoot with dual cameras at a wedding and then switch it up to a single body with a lens bag for party shots towards the end of the night. THANK YOU for the kind words! I replaced my short neck strap with a long over the shoulder strap that allows the camera to rest at my side where I can pull it up quickly and then let it down again. I like it but it does allow the camera to bounce at my side and it has gotten bonked a few times going through the door way.

I also have a spider belt holster and when Im out and about I really like that.

No bouncing but I do have to be careful when walking through narrow spaces. Its a matter pretty much of looks vs any thing else. The shoulder strap will be going by the wayside. I take a small belly pack to carry my extra lenses and sd cards.

I also liked the spider holster, but found myself hating it not REALLY being connected at all times. I can totally drop my camera and not have it dropped off the holster!

Looking GREAT definitely helped get me here though haha!

I love my MM except for one thing, the clasps. The newer clasps are a major pain in the arse to attach a camera. Easy to detach a camera but the current ones require two hands and often a flat surface to set your camera down on while connecting it to the strap. The 7th photo from the bottom shows the old clips that you can no longer get. I wish they still sold them. So love the strap hate the clips. Thanks for the comment! The main reason they switched was bc those older style were becoming unreliable for the main harness.

I can post a video of how super simple the new ones release and clasp even with just one hand on the clasp! I know the story behind the change. I just wished they would offer the option for the old style clips like in the photo above. For example, when you are shooting a wedding and traveling by car from one location to another. So for driving safety, you unclip your cameras and when you get to your location you have to hook them back up.

I truly LOVE the Camera Swagg especially for travel! The lower cost makes it way less of an investment as well! The Complete Posing Workshop. SLR Lounge Premium Subscription.
